I once had a senior business executive tell me: "Just because a man has the muscles to dig a ditch they think they deserve a camper and a house in the suburbs." I really think to republicans, deservedness, is the basic rationale for discrimination in healthcare, jobs, welfare, housing, education, (and worst of all) voting.
